[Electronics-Talk] multi-cookers/air fryers

Yes, I do have the smart oven and love it. Use it nearly every day. But the air frying function is not considered great, even by amazon. So, I'm looking for a different device to cover that.

The Amazon smart Oven is rated at 4.3 which is a great rating. I would consider a rating of above 4 is excellent. I read reviews carefully as I have often seen mixed models in reviews.

Amazon has a much smaller oven that is compatible with the A. person and I have seen people mis-quote that one.

I didn't see an exact specification on the air fryer but if it's 1400 watts, that's decent and as they recommend, it just requires a longer time to fry. Maybe slower frying may be better, good or indifferent <smiles!> this is likely the same for any combination appliance as generally a standalone appliance is more efficient.

I do have the smart oven and like it a lot for baking and microwaving. But on the product page, amazon even says the air fryer does not work well, and the negative reviews are all about the fryer.

The Amazon smart Oven has a 1.5 CF capacity so it is larger than most. They do say you may need to air fry longer but I suppose it's a personal preference.
 Some of the Technical details are;
Rated power

1,000W microwave, 1,400W convection cook, 1,300W warming element

Power levels

10 microwave power levels

Wi-Fi connectivity

2.4 GHz only, 802.11 b/g/n.
Alexa App–compatible with Fire OS, Android, and iOS devices.

The instant Pot is another amazing cooking appliance and there's several versions which work with the A. person.

I was given a small air fryer and being a household of one, a large appliance which needs cleaning after each use is more than I would prefer at this time. If you have to prepare larger dishes or cook and freeze food, then it's all a matter of personal choice.

Just like microwaves, you want to consider the power output of the unit. I purchased a ProScenic T21 air fryer and I absolutely love it.
I believe it is 1700 Watts, has a nice square basket (many are oval
shaped) so it's easy to fit things in it. It has an Alexa skill called ProScenic Air Fryer and an iPhone app called ProScenic Home which are both accessible (and I am totally blind). I bought it on Amazon for
$129 I believe. I know that Amazon has a combo unit with a microwave and air fryer but it has a low power output so I have heard from friends that the air fryer on it is not so great.
