[Electronics-Talk] Question about Instant Pot and iPhone

Hi Jim,

If you upgraded your phone, you were probably not able to get the old instant pot app loaded on your phone. It has been discontinued. My guess is that you downloaded the app for the new instant pot and that’s why you’re having trouble.

The new IP enabled instant pot is somewhat usable with the new iPhone app and with Alexa, but it is not as nice as the original Bluetooth app.

Using the app on your phone, you can check the timer and a few other things, but you can’t really control it. If you have an echo, you can use that to do simple things like pressure cook for 10 minutes. Everything else needs to be done manually using buttons.

I hope this helps,

Jim
