[Electronics-Talk] Accessible Air Fryers:

Unless you don't use a smart phone/don't have Wi-Fi, I would
recommend getting one of the smart air fryers. I don't know if this is a
requirement for all or just for the brand that I have, but I have to
physically touch mine to start it--you cannot start it from the app--so you
may either want to get one that has physical buttons or put some kind of
tactile marker on the start button.
The brand that I have is Cosori.
I have two air fryers. Both open in the front and double as ovens.
The smaller one only has the heating in the top, so it works for functions
other than air frying but not as well. It is the one that is touch screen.
The second one is larger and has the heating elements like a normal toaster
oven. It has the physical buttons as well as several knobs, so you could
theoretically use it without a smart phone. It also has a fan that you can
control. The fan is automatically set to high when air fry is selected, but
you can also set it for other options, like bake. I actually use broil with
fan on high instead of air fry because the air fry temperature (top heating
element only) only goes to 400 whereas broil (both top and bottom heating
element) goes to 450 degrees.

there are plenty of them that have knobs or were when I got mine anyway.
They're simple, a timer and a thermostat. If doing something I need a
specific time on, I just set the timer for plenty long enough and then set a
timer on Alexa or what ever, and pull out the basket when time is up and let
the timer run itself down with nothing in it. If the basket's not installed
the heater won't run so it doesn't waste anything except a little
unnecessary timer clicking.
I think mine is an Oaster and I got it from Walmart for around $45. It's
small, but it's really fast, I can burn reheated french fries in just a
couple of minutes. I typically keep the temp all the way over to max. I
don't know what temp it even goes to or anything like that.
