[Electronics-Talk] Storage options for NLS audio player

The cartridge is just a USB connector, so if you could get another USB connector through the slot and plugged in then it would work. I'm still thinking using cartridges would end up being the easiest. I believe they do have to be unzipped on the cartridge. I ran a script on Linux to copy my books to my cartridge and I believe they did unzip them.

BARD Express will copy books to your cartridge and it will unzip them for you in the process. You can also use BARD Express to find and download the books for you.

Subject: [Electronics-Talk] Storage options for NLS audio player

Can the NLS audio player accept other input than the cartridge disks? I mean the player that replaced the cassette players. Can it use a flash drive?

I'm thinking of collecting some NLS books for my sister-in-law, because she doesn't trawl BARD all that well. I've bought cartridges before and put the books on them, but it would be easier for me if I could just put them on a flash drive or 2. And can someone remind me, do I have to unzip them before I put them on either the cartridge or a drive, or does the player auto-magically unzip?

Thanks.

I sent back my NLS player ages ago, since I prefer the Victor Stream.

Tracy
