Hello,
I hope Nicole finds what she needs. I wrote what I had which is a cannon printer in last email.
I have had success doing basic printing with it.
I control it from the computer so no need to touch the printer panel.
I am also writing to add that I plugged them into the USB ports of the pc's tower to connect the printer and pc. Its pretty straightforward and
We might have installed a driver, but it did not take long at all to set up.
Also, at least with the Cannon, it makes noise before, during and after printing. IT makes a different sound as it finishes printing.
So, if someone is totally blind, this would be helpful for them.
Tina, is your hp printer toner or ink jet? Is its buttons flat similar to flat buttons on appliances? If so, did you label them?
Is it touch screen?
I decided not to label them because there is so little room and usually I have no need for the actual buttons on the printer since the printing functions is controlled by the pc.
There is an on/off button which I can easily feel so I can turn it on easily if it was off. The button is alone on one end of the printer.
But normally its on. I've turned it off if I'm on vacation or know I will not need the printer for an extended period of time.
This saves me the step and hassle of seeing If its on.
I bought the printer from another office supply store. But, Best Buy is also a good place for products.
Does anyone load their cartridges alone or do you get sighted assistance for that? I can load the paper but have not tried to actually put new ink cartridges in it since it’s a precise thing and I think it will be done easier and safer by someone who can see fully.
Take care,
Ashley

We have the HP 2755 printer and we just pugged them in to the USB ports on our laptops and they pretty much took off, installing anything necessary without us having to do much. They're not on our network though so for connecting with wifi you mght need aira or someone's help.
