Are you attending national convention and need some extra funds? Here is a chance if chosen. Submit the completed application attached or fill out the google form (link below) by May 8 at 11:59 PM. Recipients will be notified around May 20th.



 

We are awarding $300 to six first timers who have not attended an in person national convention and four to members who have gone before. Here are the requirements:

General Information

The National Federation of the Blind of Florida is offering a $300 grant to eligible members to offset the costs of convention attendance. Recipients of this grant must demonstrate through written and oral means a genuine interest in, and commitment to the effort of the National Federation of the Blind of Florida.  During convention, mentors will be available upon request.

Awardee Expectations

Recipients of the grant are expected to complete the following:

• Attend four of the six general sessions (of your choosing)

• Attend Two workshops (of your choosing)

• Attend the Florida Caucus

• If assigned, assist with a convention activity

• As assigned, complete a post-convention self-report activity
