Subject: [NFBF-Leaders] Legislative call lineup for this week - starting tonight - Please see inside for meeting details

Good morning everyone,

The 2022 Washington Seminar is getting closer and I have been so excited to see all of the folks participating in our Affiliate wide meetings and have no doubt that The NFB of Florida will turn out in big numbers to engage with our elected Representatives and Senators the week of February 7th.

As previously discussed, we have two important meetings set for this week. The first will be tonight, Monday January 24th at 8:00 PM. Our National office will be holding a mock meeting to demonstrate how a typical legislative meeting might look. Even if you have attended meetings in the past, it might be helpful to attend tonight’s National meeting to get another review of the issues being presented during 2022.

Our second important meeting is a little later this week but a little closer to home. We will hold an Affiliate wide meeting this coming Thursday, January 27th at 8:00 PM to review issues and to answer questions. Your involvement at our Affiliate wide meeting on Thursday is truly important and I look forward to having you with us.

Our regional sub-teams are being formed and leaders of the North, East, West and South teams will be reaching out soon to Affiliate members who reside in Congressional districts connected to their teams. Sub-team organization review meetings will be starting very soon. Further emails will follow this one with more details.

See below for an easy to follow link to our NFB Washington Seminar webpage. Listed too are the Zoom links for the two meetings this week.

Please reach out to me if you are interested in presenting during Seminar to your House member or to any other Representative or Senator. We welcome your involvement.

Respectfully,

Russ Davis,

Legislative Director, National Federation of the Blind of Florida
