OK, now I'm writing as both a list member and the moderator.
I woke up this morning before I usually get up for school, so I
turned on the computer. I wanted to get a couple things from there
before I leave.
I have not had time to read the messages from this list, but was
surprised to have so many come into my in box. One was from Penny,
who has left this list. She didn't say why, but I know. This
discussion about homosexuality has gone on way too long, and is not
accomplishing anything for the edification of the list members. Beth
will not be convinced because she is steadfast in her beliefs. If
she is to understand God's Word, she needs to sit down and read it in
its entirety, and she will need the Holy Spirit to help her to
understand some of it. But that's neithere here nor there. She is
not open to such reading and accepting of God's Holy Scriptures, so
we are casting our pearls before swine, as the Bible says.
She loves her friends, and that's as it should be. There was
recently a case in Virginia and Vermont where a Lesbyan couple
separated. One had a child through artificial insemination. She
accepted Christ, and wanted out. She took her biological daughter
with her, and moved to Virginia. The other woman is trying to get
full custody of the child. I have left out a lot of the story
because I don't have time to write it all. I don't type fast
enough! Anyway, the child is now six, and is a Christian. She went
to visit this other woman, whom she hasn't seen in almost two years,
forced by the courts. This woman told her to call her Mommy, and
said that she has two momies. The child told her what God says about
that, and she was told to forget all that. This woman wants full
custody of a child she didn't carry, and the whole thing is just
sick. There was a hearing at the end of October, but I didn't hear
the results. This makes me angry, and I'm sure there are more cases
like it. So, let's pray for those in this lifestyle, but don't
condone the sin. They won't listen to us unless they ask us about
it, so let's not try to convince them of something they don't want to
hear. They are ungodly, and God has given them, and this nation,
over to their and our lusts.
Please, people, let's move on! Thanks.
Linda
