Linda:

I understand where you are coming from but I think that political
events affect all religions. For example, prayar in silence or not
silence or on radicals mis interpreting the Bible. Abortion is yet
another in a long line of them and what kinds of different faiths are
listed? I asked an e-mail about diffferent faiths and recieved only
one reply about christianity. Moreover, I gather more information from
the replies of others that they are in fact christian. We might as
well call this a christian list and be done with it.
Secondly, I think it's indicative of people to confront issues
rather than sweeping them under the rug. God proclaims to spread the
word of the Lord cause christianity like Islam is a universalized
religion. If we didn't do this, we wouldn't be serving God correctly.
I can respectfully disagree with a person about faith cause nobody on
Earth knows 100% about the other side. Therefore, I think it wise and
prudent to understand how people think and feel on sensative topics.
Thirdly and finally, I didn't see anyone resort to name calling
really. We just all disagreed on some fundamental tennants of
politics. Big deal honestly cause nobody will agree 100% on politics
and religion evne within ones faith let along on a e-mail list. Sorry
if this sounds critical but I honestly see the big deal about this
matter. Perhaps I'm wrong but I just don't feel like it's a big deal
personally.

sincerely,
Peter
