[Faith-talk] Please, Folks

Thank you. It is difficult to avoid crossing the thin line from discussion to argument, especially where religion is concerned. Some are seeking answers - some are seeking a chance to argue or proselytize or pontificate. And in a written medium, it is necessary to be even more careful, since words can be easily misunderstood if the writing isn't clear and simple. Lately the tone has been uncomfortable.

Subject: [Faith-talk] Please, Folks

Hi all,

I've been gone for a week, and it looks like this list has gotten a little out of hand. This list is for the discussion of religion, faith, and blind people in their faith community. Please refrain from political discussions, and remember, we have many faiths represented here, so please be careful not to offend. The best way to answer many of these questions is to read and your study your Bibles, and pray for the Holy Spirit to help you interpret what you read and give you insight. There are flaws and hypocrites in all religions, but one bad apple doesn't ruin the whole bushel. Spend more time in Bible study and prayer and less time in arguing.

Blessings,

Linda
