Sister Jeanette:
Please understand this, and this is the last time I'm posting on this thread.
Romans 14:9 is a good principal to live by.
I'm not saying that you're appeasing the flesh, but most people that
throw that legalism word around, would rather appease the flesh,
instead of submit to the word of God, when it has been presented.
I'll explain Romans, 14:9.
"Let not your good, be evil spoken of."
What does this mean?
If we look at a modern translation, (say, NLT,) you get this.
"Don't let what you deem acceptable, be a stumbling block, to the
faith of others."
You may think, that it's acceptable for you to wear pants, but the
sinners have a different mindset of a Christian, and how a Christian
should look.
If that sinner sees you looking exactly as they do, it may be a
stumbling block to them.
I'll use music, for another example.
I personally don't find anything wrong, with listening to some Classic
Country music, but I got rid of it, and only listen to Christian
music, so that I wouldn't be a stumbling block to someone who thinks
that Christians shouldn't listen to it.
If it's a weakness for someone, we shouldn't feed that weakness.
