Tom,
Well said. While I myself am not a Trinitarian, it can't really be
argued thatChristianity, throughout its history, has almost
universally accepted the doctrine. And, although never explicitly
stated in scripture, it's certainly a position that makes a lot of
sense and, were I not a Mormon, there's a very good chance I'd be a
Trinitarian.
On the other hand, I can totally see where Joshua's coming from
here, as I can see where those early Christian "hericies" came from.
I think you can use the Bible to support whichever way you believe.
So, although the church throughout its history (catholic, orthadox and
Protestant alike), has pretty much rejected Nontrinitarian ideas about
God, I think it's important to remember we all worship Christ as we
understand him. While I happen to be neither a Oneness Apostolic or a
Trinitarian, I think Christ loves us all the same and, in the end,
he'll set everything straight.
