do you believe in saying that pretending and lying are the same thing that kids shouldn't ever pretend and that parents should spank them or punish them in some other way when they do???
that just doesn't seem fair to me!
I did a lot of pretending as a kid...I would pretend I was a professional water acrobat in our family pool, or that my barbies were the "Little people" from the cartoon I watched with my sister...I pretended that my baby dolls were real babies and that I was the mother...i even played school with them or with my other friends...
was this all lying??
kids would be very limited on what they could and couldn't play if this was lying and they would be punished for doing/playing them!...
