Hi Jenny,

No one has meant to be unkind to you here. You gave the impression, 
from what you wrote, or how you wrote it, that maybe your cane skills 
weren't good. That's often why people hate the cane, so we assumed. 
Don't be grieved with us for sharing our opinions and advice. We're 
here to help, encourage, and pray for one another.

You can get a cane with a rolling ball tip. You're right about 
overhead obsticles, though I have not been injured there in a very 
long time. I'm not often in areas where that's a problem, except for 
an occasional hanging tree branch with leaves on it. Each O&M tool 
has its advantages and disadvanges, and we just have to pick the one 
or ones that help us the most, and keep us the most safe. No one here 
will judge you for making the decisions you make. It's not our 
business, it's yours. Do what works best for you.
