As we approach the end of another Lord's Day now, let's take a moment and reflect what we have heard and learned from our individual pulpits, whether in a local house of worship in our respective communities where we live, or whether that be an online church or even via cable TV or satellite. I hope that, at least those of us in North America, were blessed today. As for me, I made the formal break with my church and will still pursue other churches, of which we have a plethora here in my neighborhood: a Christian and Missionary Alliance congregation, a Seventh-Day Adventist church, Assemblies of God, two United Methodist churches, two Presbyterian churches (both of which are PCA congregations) and several storefront congregations. (Personally I don't like the term "storefront," but God knows my intent when I mention those). Anyway, as I previously said, I hope that your day in the Lord was fruitful and for those of you elsewhere, I hope that your Monday is going well.

Again, our words of poetry come from an author whose name I didn't take down, but her contribution is entitled "Talents," rendered as follows:

The Lord has given us a talent
For each of us to use,
And if we cannot find it,
Then we with it are through.
Some can write poetry;
Others a picture can paint,
While others a builder will be,
Then some men a home create.

God did not make us all to have great talents.
Some are very small,
But God loves us all.

My, but what a conversation we can have on the individual lists regarding this subject. Suffice it to say that sometimes, in my humble opinion, small talents can be more effective than great ones. Take, for instance, the sister from Big Sky Country who today took the time to talk with me over the phone. Such a gesture won't be forgotten by our heavenly Father, especially in light of what this single guy is going through, and that is looking for a church. (Notice I didn't say the "perfect" church, because then I couldn't belong, but the church where God wants me both to minister and to be ministered to). Anyway thanks for your prayers about this matter, and it's a comfort to know that there are even sighted single Christians and perhaps married, even with good jobs themselves, who are in the same predicament as I am.

And now until tomorrow evening when, Lord willing another good night message will be presented, may the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob just keep us all safe, individually and collectively, throughout this night or day and especially in these last and evil days in which we live. And one more thing before I close: Is anyone on this list whose schedules permit and who would be interested to please give me your phone number and the best time to call? I can be reached at oilofgladness47 at gmail.com. The conversation I had earlier today with this precious sister was so cordial, that I'd like to repeat it with others. Thanks in advance from the undersigned. Good night and sweet dreams. Your Christian brother, Paul
