[Faith-talk] My Sunday Testimony

Hello all of you. First off, I'd like to thank you all for your prayers on my behalf that the Lord would plainly and clearly show me which congregation I should attach myself to. He has done this in His marvelous way.

Below you will read about something that happened just this past Sunday, August 26, so it's not something five or ten years old. May you be blessed as you read it.

Deacon John came by to fetch me and another lady to go to this church's worship time as usual about 9:30 a.m. eastern time. The church uses the fellowship hall during the summer, and we sat on folding chairs. Shortly before the service proper began, a lady named Pam, who is single herself, came to sit in the chair immediately to my right and, as the corporate prayer began, she took hold of my right hand in both of hers, and began a gentle massage. The Spirit clearly stated in effect that, as she was massaging my right hand in both of hers, that God was molding me into the person He wanted to be. Another thing of significance is the fact that the Spirit told her about my situation and that, since the time my mom couldn't go to my old church, that no one would sit with me in that particular congregation, and this was since October of 2006. This was really a comfort and a source of reassurance for me.

On the way home, Deacon John, who had observed my interaction with Sister Pam, revealed yet something else. Pam had been in an abusive relationship with a man who, she believed at first, would be the man in her life. Obviously he probably didn't know the Lord. In a phone conversation later that day with Pam, she revealed to me that the Lord told her to reach out to me, a virtually perfect stranger, and to "take the plunge" in getting out of her comfort zone.

I don't know if this testimony ministered to you readers but I pray that, in God's matchless grace and His providential care, that it did. I'm so happy that Sister Pam did what she did, and that both of us were open to the leading of the Spirit. Your friend and brother, Paul
