Hello and good day to you all, my fellow Christians and saints of the Most High God.  Yesterday I stated that today's quotes would be only one, but actually there are a number of them with the same theme running throughout the list.  My humble and profound thanks goes to a member on another list who submitted these thought-provoking pearls of wisdom.  I hope that, as you read and share them with others, that you and they will receive a blessing.

I asked for strength, and God gave me difficulties to make me strong.

I asked for wisdom, and God gave me problems for me to solve.

I asked for prosperity, and God gave me brawn and brains to work.

I asked for courage, and God gave me dangers to overcome.

I asked for patience, and God placed me in a situation where I was forced to wait.

I asked for love, and God gave me troubled people to help.

I asked for favors, and God gave me opportunities.

And there you have it for today.  Pretty poignant, eh?
