Good evening to all my fellow saints of the Most High God residing in the western hemisphere. Hope your day went well, especially the time when you corporately, in your respective Christian assemblies, worshipped our gracious Lord. I had a great time in that regard. At our small church the sermon was on the sovereignty of God, and it was based on Jeremiah 18:1-10 regarding the potter. But maybe your day was one of those so-so kind of days. If so, don't worry. Your Lord and Savior knew what you went through and He was right there beside you. I know that sometimes it seems that God is far away. Believe me, I can totally relate to your feelings in this regard, but it is still true even if it doesn't seem that way.

Our inspirational words for this evening come from the pen of Jill Lemming, a lady that we featured sometime back. Her contribution for today is entitled "Believe and Dream," and is rendered as follows:

We make our plans and look ahead
To all we can achieve.
But only God can bring to pass
Our dreams when we believe.

Through prayer and thanks we realize
Our strength is found within.
God, alone, fills every need
When we rely on Him.

Tomorrow is an open door
And God will lead the way.
Creator of our universe,
Direct our path, we pray.

And there you have it for tonight. And now let's retire to our respective nocturnal domiciliary habitations, whether that be a bed or perhaps even a sofa, in the realization that, no matter what happens, God is with us or, as Isaiah puts it, our "Immanuel." Before I close, let me extend an invitation to any of you that, if you would like a listening heart and ear and, if you have my phone number, I'd be glad to entertain any calls throughout the night. Don't be afraid of waking me up. It's better to soothe an aching heart than to soothe oneself. And now may the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob just keep you safe throughout the night and in these last days in which we live. Your Christian brother, Paul
