Hello and good evening to all my North American saints of the Most High God, and good Thursday to the rest of you living in other parts of the world. I hope and pray that, by God's matchless grace and His providential care, that we in North America had a good day today, and that you in other places will have a good Thursday or, if it is your afternoon, that your day is going well.

Continuing our series of sermonette articles, Betty Jane Stepherson graces our computer screens, screen readers and Braille displays with her contribution entitled "How Does God Do That?", rendered as follows:

I have no idea how God makes the stars shine. I just know that such magnificence awes me. My family and I were standing outside one dark night when suddenly the sky sparkled with stars all shining at one time. None of us cared how He did it. We were just thrilled by it.

I have no idea how God makes the rain fall. I just know that when rain falls on our dry, parched land, it brings out emotions and thanksgivings in so many hearts. The sweet smell of falling rain on a hot day is absolute joy.

I have no idea how God makes the wind blow. I just know that when the wind blows through our trees, I seem to hear His voice humming through the leaves. And the sound is sweet.

I have no idea how God makes each snowflake different and unique. I just know that He puts them all together and gives us so much beauty.

As a child, waking up to a snow-covered world filled me with joy. Many years have passed, but I still feel joy waking up to my world covered with a perfect snow from God's perfect hand. I still like to look out the window and watch the falling snow drift onto trees and shrubs. I do not have to understand how He does it to enjoy it.

I have no idea how God makes plants bloom at different seasons. I just know that when one beautiful plant stops blooming, something else starts. Who but a loving God could have planned that? Certainly not some microscopic whatever crawling up from the sea and starting to evolve.

I have no idea how God makes some days so perfect. I just know that some days we want to shout from the housetops, :This is the day which the Lord hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it" (Ps. 118:24).

There are many things I do not know about God and many things I may never know. There is, however, one thing I do know. I know how He gives us eternal life.

"For God so loved the world, that He gave His Only Begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life" (John 3:16). There is nothing else I need to know.

Thank You, Lord. My cup runneth over.

And there is Sister Betty's submission for today. Although simple in scope, you might just want to share this short sermonette article with some of your friends who might be anti-Christian or who perhaps believe in the theory of evolution. Remember, dear friends, it's only a theory, not a fact, and because it's a theory, why believe it until it has been proven?

And now may the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob just keep us safe, individually and collectively, throughout this night or day and especially in these last days in which we live. Your Christian friend and brother, Paul
