It is interesting that you ask that question and I have thought about this, and what I think is that we do need to be as independent as possible.  But there still a dependence that we have on God but that is no different than sighted.  A sighted person prays before driving on a trip but still capably drives just as Bl ind people capably do stuff every day.  Hope that makes sense .    Peace,    Debby
