I feel differently: In the last several years, me and my family have been
going through many health issues. Both my church in Orange, CA and mom and
dad's church in Northbrook, IL have prayer chains. It would take too long to
explain everything, but I really feel that the power of prayer really works.

Subject: [Faith-talk] Some thoughts on prayer
Hi all,
I want to offer some thoughts I'd been having lately, and want to know what
you all think.
For me right now, it seems prayer is just a way to ask for what we want. It
seems that God is going to do what he wishes, regardless of what we pray or
don't pray. Life is like a deck of cards, and you have to deal with the hand
you have.
So, what's the point of prayer?
I know the pat answer is that it's to get our will in line with God's will.
But God is just going to do what he wishes, anyway, just some thoughts.
Steph
