God is sovereign and thus does not have to explain himself. Along the
same lines, I do not have to and cannot really understand God. We are
probably intellectually as far or further apart than a human being and an ant.
Yet in Jesus being born a human being, entering the world as any of
us as helpless baby boy depending on Mama Maria for his milk and his
diaper, God makes it very clear he wants to relate to us, wants to
walk with us just as he did before the fall in the Garden. and in
Jesus, we can get on the same level with God. Just think of the honor
and privilege that he comes to us and asks us to pray - not just for
our own needs but that he entrusts us with his own, the people in the
body and out. What a wonderful and humble God. and in time, sometimes
we understand God and his greater plan, and sometimes we do not. It
doesn;t matter. In the end, at dinner time, we have all eternity to
ask him every question we ever wanted to ask - if it still matters.
*g* in the end, we will be home and as it is with for little ones
with their earthly daddy or maybe their beloved spouse, being with
daddy or hubby is all that matters. Just like with daddy and hubby,
it takes time and some effort to build the relationship, spend time
and learn to trust.
For me, it took quite some time and compromise on both sides to get
to know one another to learn that trust. I have been blessed with a
gentle and patient husband and a "daddy picture" to unlearn a lot of
the fears from my human and finite earthly daddy from when I was a little girl.
I wonderful book I very much recommend on prayer is "The Papa Prayer"
by author and psychologist Dr. Lawrence "Larry" Crabb.
Be Blessed and Merry Christmas
