Hello all you Bible gamers. Ready to play? Well, I hope so, because here we go. In case there are any newcomers here who I don't know about, I'll give you a little poem written many years ago by the late Alvy E. Ford of Tamecula CA based on a particular book and chapter of the Bible. Your job is to guess the above. And, with that, here we go, ready or not!
Dig, from the Word, the sincerest of meat.
Offer up sacrifice wholesome and sweet.
You are a priesthood both royal and clean.
Honor all men, and the king as supreme.
In case you don't know, all these poems are based on the KJV. I'll tell you all now that I'd guess the book if someone else were presenting it, but as for the chapter, I wouldn't have any ideas. Anyway, if no one comes up with the correct book and chapter by Tuesday, I'll give you the answer then. Good guessing! And remember, there are no wrong answers, just incorrect ones.
And now may the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob just keep us safe, individually and collectively, in these last days in which we live. Lord willing, tomorrow there will be a Daily Thought article all about Passover which, if my memory serves me correctly, takes place about this time of the year 2014 in the Hebrew calendar. Your Christian friend and brother, Paul
