Hi, I'm hoping to be helpful here, not nosy or interfering. I have a couple suggestions. One is probably extreme, and maybe you wouldn't want to do it, and the other is less so. My first suggestion is !see if you can get your case opened again with rehab, or services for the blind or whatever it's called in your state. Second, look at some other possibilities of things you would like to do. I, I went that path and was basically shut down, which is when I decided to go to the Colorado Center forthe Blind. If you don't feel that you have the training for some other job, ask if you can go to either your state's training center, or fight to go to one of the three NFB centers. My second suggestion is less extreme. I know you go to church with your parents, but you don't have to continue to do that. Talk to the pastor and see if there are possible rides, and if you might get rides to Sunday school and other activities. And just because you live with your parents doesn't mean you have to go to that church. Look in your town for other churches if you don't get some satisfaction from your current pastor with help to get to other activities. Sometimes we have to take steps (after praying about what steps to take of course). Blessings, Debby

I went to college to be a children's pastor but churches won't higher a blind person because the parents in the churches don't believe blind people can take care of children. And I am stuck living at home with my parents because without a job I can't aford to get an appartment closer to a good bus system... :(
