[Faith-talk] Are Muslims sure they will go to heaven?

Dear all, peace be with you.

Today, I will be talking about a subject which I think many people either Muslims, Jews or Christians are gravely confused about its correct concept.

It is one of the main subjects which Christians tend to ask us about.

Christian Apologists have the talent of invoking enormous incertitudes in the lay Muslim mind.

They do that methodically.

Well, one of their philosophical approaches, that they ask the average Muslim;

Are you sure you will go to heaven?

Of course, many Muslims are not sure how to answer this question properly.

Well, in order to thoroughly rebuttal this contention, we initially have to apprehend how the Christian thinks about this.

Christians preach that noone is saved except by grace.

Well, we partially share that concept with them.

What else?

They also believe, that Jesus is their unique Savior, and that he died for their sins.

At this point, we are perfectly separated and different from each other.

As Muslims, we are devoted to obey Allah, and to follow the footsteps of his messengers, peace and blessings be upon them.

We make no difference among them, and we unfeignedly strive in the cause of pleasing Allah by adhering their teachings.

So, are Muslims truly certain they will go to heaven?

Muslims are hopeful to go to heaven, and this is why they tend to abide by their faith.

But Muslims ought to avoid arrogance and pride.

Therefore, we are constantly commanded not to parade our devout deeds, to secretly give charity, and to commit our intention sincerely to Allah glory be to Him.

As Muslims, we trace our hope to the grace of Allah glory be to Him.

We do our best to please Him, but we would never say; we surely are going to heaven.

That is predominantly blasphemous to even think so.

Islam does not believe in the free ticket to heaven.

Though Christians proclaim that they do not believe in such concept either, but if you just pay any Church a visit on Sunday service, you will find this plainly self-contradicting.

As Muslims, we ought to significantly cultivate others about our doctrinal tennets.

We never believed we will definitely go to heaven, basicly because, it is not in our possession.

It is Allah Who only decides who goes to heaven, and who will just be left behind.

Even the grand intercession of our beloved Muhammad peace and blessings be upon him, it is merely approved by the permission of Allah glory be to Him, but this will not guarantee for us going to heaven.

So it is not the grand intercession of the prophet nor our righteous deeds, it is neither this nor that.

It is not the intercession, because the prophet is just a slave like us.

Yes, he is in supreme eminence with Allah, but that does not justify exulting him, or entitling him with any type of divinity, salla Allahu alaihi wa sallam.

It is not even our deeds, because we do not know whether they were accepted or rejected.

What only guarantees for us going to heaven, is the Mercy of Allah glory be to Him.

Our hope of salvation lays only with the Mercy of Allah glory be to Him.

I am critically commendable for your fruitful feedback, it encourages me to insistently improve my command of written English.

Thank you for reading my posts, and I wish you a pleasant provenience of 2014.

Peace be with you.
