[Faith-talk] Christmas

Hello from up in Alaska. We have my father in-law in from Kodiak Alaska for
the week and my younger sister in-law is staying the night here for
Christmas eve. Tomorrow we will have about 6 other family members over as
well so that will put the house at about a dozen easily. As I type my wife
is rapping the last of the Xmas presents. For some reason my 9 year old
really started to believe in Santa Clause this year, in spite of her older
sister and class mates telling her the facts about Christmas. As she grew up
I never told her that there was a Santa, but she just has this incredible
imagination and loves the excitement of the season. Well I hope everyone has
a blessed day tomorrow and makes some time to reflect on the greatest gift
of all, the advent of Christ coming to this earth to take on the same old
body that we all struggle with through pain, sickness and yes even laughter:
but rather than be weighed down by the sorrows and temptations of the world,
he went to the Cross and freely gave his life for all mankind so that we
could have the greatest gift, forgiveness, communion with God, God  living
inside  of us through His Spirit and an eternal hope that will never be
destroyed by moth and rust.

Its that time of year. I hope all are celebrating with friends or family. 
We will stay in town for Christmas and have ham and turkey. All will be at
my house for Christmas. I very much look forward to my brother and nephew
being here who often do not visit for holidays.
