In English class we recently read the book The Stranger and I had
a real problem with the main character, Meursault. He didn't
even feel sad when his mother died, which is how you're supposed
to feel. And he consistently rejected God. Over and over again.
I thought it was really awful that he didn't even attempt to
listen to the chaplain.
My English teacher is a Christian and, because I am Catholic, he
immediately knew I wouldn't like the book LOL
For these of you who read it, what did you think of the book? Do
you think Meursault has issues or that he has a point?
