[Faith-talk] Prayer and Blindness

Hi Danielle,
I, too, am Catholic, but possibly like you, am very open-minded and have expanded my knowledge where I can. Anyway, I grew up in a charismatic Catholic prayer group, so I have always gotten prayed for for healing. Though my parents and siblings are not charismatic, they allowed me to express myself that way. My father often prayed over me before I went to sleep due to all my eye medical issues. So for me, being prayed over was usually a very positive and loving experience, not one of pity or feeling bad for me. I think I had a slight different situation because of all the surgeries I had and everything.

I agree that it takes so much courage to go up to a random person and offer to pray for them. I have this problem and don’t have the boldness to do so. I don’t necessarily look for the physical issue, but if I talk to someone and feel they need prayer, I will ask them if I can pray for them since sometimes it’s an issue we cannot see but one we hear of as we talk to them. I will pray for you that you get the resources and healing you need. God bless,

Christine
