[Faith-talk] are “persons.”

What I find disturbing about people like Peter Singer is that
measuring quality of life is not something they seem to be able
to discuss. And who says what "quality of life" is? For me, this
evening sitting outside on our deck with my husband, my new
Seeing Eye dog, and retired Seeing Eye dog, was wonderful. But
for those who believe that blindness is like dying (and I have
heard this expressed before) they would think that there could be
no quality of life since I could not see the sunset, or see the
children playing down the street. Wow, would they ever be wrong!

I have been with people who are disabled in other ways, and
although the scope of their lives may seem narrow to me, they
have such joy in the life they have that who are we to deny them
that? Blessings, Debby and Nova
