I am very happy to say that the ELCA – Evangelical Lutheran Church in America – site for readings of the day is accessible! I am in able to transfer this into either KNFB Reader or VoiceDream on my phone.  I'm having regular PC issues so I can't cut-and-paste as I'd like to. In general, is there a way to cut and paste on the iPhone with edit on websites?  I ask because I am in charge of doing prayer of the week for my churches website/mass distribution list and until my computer cooperates I'm stuck with using just the iPhone for everything.. Looking forward to any help and please everyone send me websites that I can find prayers and meditations to use. My church is very concerned about copyrights so they don't want me to just copy out of a book which is understandable in the Sue happy society. Reading it with assistive technology is one thing, but just plain taking something that doesn't written by you without written permission from the author or company is quite different.

Almighty God, you planted in the heart of your servant William Tyndale a consuming passion to bring the Scriptures to people in their native tongue, and endowed him with the gift of powerful and graceful expression and with strength to persevere against all obstacles: Reveal to us your saving Word, as we read and study the Scriptures, and hear them calling us to repentance and life; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen.



James 1:21-25

Rid yourselves of all sordidness and rank growth of wickedness, and welcome with meekness the implanted word that has the power to save your souls.

But be doers of the word, and not merely hearers who deceive themselves. For if any are hearers of the word and not doers, they are like those who look at themselves in a mirror; for they look at themselves and, on going away, immediately forget what they were like. But those who look into the perfect law, the law of liberty, and persevere, being not hearers who forget but doers who act-- they will be blessed in their doing.
