Are you thinking of the KNFB reader? There is a bit of a learning 
curve, but once you get it, it can be wonderful.  It doesn't read 
everything of course.  It doesn't read handwriting, and if 
something is on very glossy paper like some restaurant menus, it 
won't work.  Also if there are pictures, they will come out 
gibberish.  But yes, I think that the KNFB reader is very cool.
