Hello and greetings from a hot morning here in Baltimore. Temps
outside my door are more like late July or early August, rather than
almost mid-June. However we will survive, by God's matchless grace and
His providential care, as I know you will also.

Here are today's two quotes for your consideration, pondering and reflection.

Could we change our attitude, we should not only see life differently,
but life itself would come to be different. Katherine Mansfield

If our country is worth dying for in time of war, let us resolve that
it is truly worth living for in time of peace. Hamilton Fish III,
American congressman, 1888-1991 (quote compiler's comment: Mr. Fish's
sentiment can also be applied to citizens of other countries as well,
in my opinion).

And that will do it for today. If by chance you read this post before
you head out to your house of worship, I pray that you and your fellow
congregants will get a good word from the Lord as imparted to you by
your pastors and/or Sunday school teachers, and that you will apply the
same to your individual lives as the gracious Holy Spirit enables. On
the other hand if you read this when you get home, I pray the same has
been done for you.

Don't forget that later on in this space, the weekly Bible trivia game
poem will be posted. Until then or until tomorrow when more quotes
will be sent your way, I am your obedient servant of the One who lived
an earthly existence, died to pay for your sins and mine, and now lives
forever to bring us His salvation and peace, Oil of Gladness.
