Hi Justin,

Paul Smith sent the explanation a couple days ago.  You must have 
missed it.  Here it is: As for what happened, she walked out onto 
her apartment balcony to see
what the weather was like and locked herself out of her 
apartment.  I
don't know if she has sliding glass doors or not, but she somehow
locked herself out.  She did not have her cell phone with her on 
the
balcony and could not call anyone, so she decided to try and get 
down
and go back into the apartment building by the front door.

She climbed over the railing and was preparing to climb down to 
the
ground when she lost her grip on the railing and fell flat on her 
back
from 3 stories high.  She said that when she hit the ground she 
lost all
feeling in her legs and feet.  She apparently broke her leg, 
cracked
some ribs, and is now paralyzed from the waist down.
