Some info here may be helpful. At least in some strains of Islam, English
versions of the Quran are not considered to be accurate--perhaps Mostafa can
explain this more thoroughly. The same is the case in Judaism--Torah is read
in Hebrew, and there was a debate over a long time about whether a braille
Hebrew Torah was considered a faithful representation of sacred text because
the shape of the letters was considered to have as much spiritual
representation as the text itself.

I will have more thoughts later about some of the topics raised this
weekend. I am only online briefly today.

I have seen a Braille Quran pardon my bad spelling, in Braille and I believe
it was in English. I also know that the Mormons andthe Jehovah's Witnesses
have material in braille, or at least they used to. My grandmother was a
Jehovah's Witness and got me some braille stuff.

How sad for this Muslim woman. Whether I agree with Islam or not, a person
ought to be a to get accessible material in English if that's their primary
language, and either bhl or audible. Blessings, Debby
