[Faith-talk] Dilemma

I would go to the English mass, however, I know for a fact, and I think I've said it before, that priests are rushed to make it be an hour only. I don't like the rushing part. That's actually not what Vatican II wanted. They only wanted to make the Latin mass in English. And that was it. They did not want to change but to make it English. They didn't want the ABC year though so I like that. But it's water down, i'm sorry they did want the years a BC which I do like, so, I tend to read the Novus ordo, or English mass for that. But, if it weren't so rushed, if the priest weren't so hounded to make it an hour long and our long instead of more than that, it wouldn't be so bad. But, I don't know about you, but when you hear people leaving in the middle of your prayer time at the end of mass. When it's not over. It's distracting what do you feel about it? I know, that's their thing, and they'll have to answer for it. But, I don't know if you feel but it's distracting. I don't care what they do during the last song. That's fine. But, when the priest is still doing the end of the mass. And people are taking off. To me, it's distracting. How do you feel about it. And how do you get over it if it bothers you.

It is really sad that if a priest goes over an hour that priests are called and get very annoying phone calls about it. That's really sad. It's bad like I said, when the Cathedral. Where the bishop does mass. Has a giant Normas clock that is so big I can see it between the door top and the choir railing. Really? I wish that English masses and bishops, would stand up and tell the diocese that they work for and that they deal with, but that's not acceptable. That priests can go as long as they want to. That's it's not a rush thing. Actually, also, there is a bishop somewhere, that's making them change the tabernacle to be over the altar, and not on the side. And, requiring a high altar. Praise the Lord. It's about time.

I guess that's why I do like the orthodox church. Because they don't do anything slower than the way it supposed to be. It's just how it is, and people stay there until it's done.

I might check out the Orthodox Catholic church. Because maybe it's that way. And it's in English. That might be the happy medium :-) so, in fact I'm going to try to call the priest now. Hopefully he'll answer the phone :-)
