Thanks, Linda.
No moving during the convention. *smile* Kevin and I both have some traveling planned during late June and early July. That will be the time when we turn our family loose to paint and things.. When we get back, we will have the final cleanup and packing to do and then move before I start my fall courses in late August. Our summer has turned out ot be busy and blessed! Neither of us likes to move, but this falls into the category of moving to improve things. There is much that we both want to be more involved in, and we are looking forward to being able to be much more active and to people being able to see us doing things more independently.

Hi Sarah,
I'm so hapfy for you and Kevin. Moving is not my favorite thing to do in life, but I've done it to improve my situation, and knowing that I'm in God's will in doing so. Happy packing, moving and unpacking! One thing, though, I hope the move isn't taking place during the NFB convention!
Blessings,
Linda

Kevin and I have struggled for a long time with transportation diffficulties with church. We have been able to get rides to Sunday morning worship, and I have been able to get rides to Wednesday evening choir practice; but it is often difficult to get rides to activities that are held at other times because everyone?셲 schedules are so full. My parents (who don?셳 attend the same church) have helped us out at times, but this has been very frustrating. We have had numerous discussions with staff and have lost other members who are blind because of similar difficulties. We continue on with efforts to advocate with not only our own church but others in the community.
Anyway, we have been attempting to solve our own problem by looking to purchase a home in the neighborhood that is near both our church and my employer, where there are sidewalks and we will be able to navigate more independently. We are happy to share that we made an offer on a house and it was accepted. So we will be able to walk to church, and I will be able to walk to the university. This is a huge load off our shoulders! God is so good!
