Renee. Please tell us more about yourself. I apologize running I’ve been kind of rude I feel. I haven’t formally welcomed you. I’m in Evangelical Lutheran from Madison Wisconsin and I have a little bit of useful vision. Wisconsin began NFB and communities of faith division a couple years ago and I am the secretary. I have social work and teaching backaround but serving the Lord through teaching children Sunday school and service projects in the community brings me closest to God and his blessings. Are used to work at a nursing home as an activity assistant until my seizures got the best in me and then several other life changes happen. God brought me through everything and I am happily getting remarried to the person I have known since I was 16.

Its down to the end of the line here with November 10 the big day. We just got the print bulletins done and found out there was a song error. I had gone to the trouble to make a lyric sheet for all three hymns then found out of course that’s half my work was in vain. But God is good and he save the day. Amazingly the company that put out our Lutheran hymnal has BRF files for most of the hymns. Or web mistress/media guru found that the mistake I made was indeed in a pre-brio formatted version so I could just pass it on to the people who are brailling our lyric sheet and bulletins. I feel very blessed right now! Is the small things that we cannot take for granted. Many churches we have discovered here aren’t able to do even an idea of where to look for a BRF version of anything. Here in Madison Wisconsin my fiancée Chad and I are truly blessed. Most of the people at our wedding will be cited, but for the seven people that are either in the Sarah Moni or attending, including my husband to be it was important they have braille. Can’t leave the Groom or best man out!

May you find this kind of love and support hear no matter what your spiritual guide is. We are interfaith, very resourceful, and glad you are here!

We also have a Facebook page. Check us out at NFBW communities of faith/Facebook please don’t take this as a link because I don’t know the exact title. The other half is the administrator. (Chad Nelson)

While I’m thinking about this, how many people here thank that our government does not support us living out our faith commitment totally. What I’m referring to is Hou the finances totally change for us as blind folks when we get married. We’ve been living in sin and hate it but we had to make sure we could financially survived. I’m on SSDI and government programs for insurance. Thankfully my fiancée has found a good job a month ago and it will not cost much to add me to his very good insurance if need be. Many of us have dual disabilities and I have epilepsy as well as being blind. It’s taking a big leap of faith to be legally married, much more so than someone without a disability. I wish we didn’t have to take these considerations into effect i’ve healed pretty well from my recent cataract surgery and am awaiting reading glasses. Then it’s off to spending my day is job hunting in interviewing. I hope this spark some conservation. I hate that society makes it more difficult for us to not only live as an independent find person but pursue happiness is God puts in front of us as well.
