Hey, everyone,

In my ongoing quest to weed out my jammed-full inbox, I discovered an FT suggestion that I think would be really fun right now, with Florence, national issues, and personal concerns all abounding. I’ll start it. Find and post a paragraph that you find particularly uplifting, whether related to blindness or not, that has helped you in your life. Here’s one:

A Morning After (sung by Maureen McGovern, in “The Poseidon Adventure”, one of my all-time favorite popular songs. I even got to read a recorded book by one of the writers, who, if I remember, is a Christian. In order to compact it, I left some lines on the same line, with double horizontal spaces between to show where the line division would be if you expanded it. Here’s the text:

There’s got to be a morning after, If we can hold on through the night.
We have a chance to find the sunshine, Let’s keep on looking for the light.
Oh, can’t you see the morning after? It’s waiting right outside the storm.
Why don’t we cross the bridge together And find a place that’s safe and warm?
It’s not too late. We should be giving. Only with love can we climb.
It’s not too late, Not while we’re living. Let’s put our hands out in time.
There’s got to be a morning after. We’re moving closer to the shore.
I know we’ll be there by tomorrow.
And we’ll escape the darkness. We won’t be searching any more.
There’s got to be a morning after (repeated)

Sandra
