[Faith-Talk] Covid came to our house

I'm very glad you're coming through that experience unscathed, Ericka. I'm sure people on this list vary
widely in their beliefs about vaccination, as they have a right to do. I believe a vaccine helps the person
vaccinated but only helps others by minimizing possible hospital bed usage, masks help everyone by minimizing
spread and are therefore necessary, the conspiracy theories about vaccines and COVID reporting are
unrealistic, and the safest thing for me to do is to stay still as long as I can, then vaccinate when I start
moving unless a better alternative has appeared by then. I also suspect I'm straying from the list topic
except insofar as my staying still limits my contact with local church establishments and lands me squarely in
virtual spaces, like this one. :-)

Seriously though, I'm glad to see you're ok. I've known several people over the last year who have experienced
COVID, including a few family members, and with widely varying results.

May God guide us each in our handling of these times, and may we understand that God's guidance for one may
very well differ from His guidance for another.

This week I got Covid. Without the vaccines I can only imagine how horrible this would be. I’ve had bronchitis and pneumonia and those last long long time. Without the vaccine and masking I would’ve had this a long time ago. We’re two years out and I finally got it. It’s knock up on me suddenly Monday night as I was catching a bus home from the local clinic. I was only there for bloodwork. I am a very diehard mask wear or two. So don’t mess with the stuff. Without the vaccines I wouldn’t have been  sick for three days with just a lingering sore throat. I was only out of commission for one day with fever and everything. Don’t play with your Health. God gave you the tools to take care of yourself.
