[Faith-Talk] Christian groups of people with disabilities

We’ve had no problem watching our online church services. Our old congregation was on YouTube and our current congregation is on Facebook. The glitches have basically been on their end, not ours. We’re Evangelical Lutheran Church in America, the more liberal if you will as we have female pastors and LGBTQ pastors in the denomination. 

It’s taken a lot of educating over the years but generally I haven’t had a problem getting accommodations and and getting to participate in services. I don’t know if it’s because I’m a little partial or watt. Stores fair. I see the struggle my total blind husband has had.

Sad to see bigger churches like that who have the resources to do things for people without questioning the finances aren’t willing. That seems so I’m Christian. Our very small – – less than 200 number congregation scrimped and saved enough money during this time of Covid to get me a large print h hymnal. Means the world to me!  pastor always announces the next him coming up so I don’t have to try and read anything. They’re looking to make all the signs accessible for the blind in our church. We have many members with different disabilities downs, autistic, cognitive challenges and then ours. We have a hearing impaired friend who’s going to join. Very welcoming.
