[Faith-Talk] Recording of Blind Christians Group Annual Meeting

At long last, here is the promised recording of the 2024 annual meeting of
the Blind Christians Group, which took place at the NFB national convention
in Orlando. As I did with the membership call we held in June, I'm sending
this in 2 formats: a downloadable Dropbox link, which will allow you to save
the audio recording to your device of choice whether or not you have a
Dropbox account, and a direct link to the recording on Zoom, which will have
the audio as well as a transcript, the text of the chat, and a summary

In looking at the archive of the chat, I noticed that a few people mentioned
that some speakers were able to be heard more clearly than others on Zoom.
Particularly, in the panel on ministries, I could be heard better than Chris
Boone. This is probably because the only source of audio from the room to
Zoom was my iPhone's microphone; we didn't have a direct feed from the PA
system to Zoom, and the mic's battery seemed to be dying toward the end of
our meeting. Since the phone was in front of me at the head table, Zoom
participants would have been able to hear those closest to the head table
most clearly. I knew going in that the audio quality wouldn't be the best,
so I thank everyone who listened in on Zoom for your patience and hope that
you got as much out of it as you could.

 

Finally, I'd like to give a huge shout-out and thank you to April Leachman
for serving as our Zoom co-host for this meeting! April stepped in at the
last minute to help the Zoom logistics run smoothly and went above and
beyond to answer messages in the chat that I didn't catch. That was a huge
help, and we are truly grateful! Thank you to everyone who joined us
in-person and virtually for making this year's meeting an engaging and
uplifting event. We hope those who weren't able to be there will enjoy the
recording, and we look forward to being together again in New Orleans!
