[Faith-Talk] The 2024 Election and news

Hi, Ashley,

While I do get news from the main media, there is a lot that they omit, gloss over, or misrepresent.

So, while I think the news is important, there is a point where you have to shut it off, as God is really the priority.  So while we should stay informed, we should keep God first, guard our hearts and minds.

Are you saying yes to the 
News question from Mysty? Do you listen to NPR or NBC?
NPR has a good neutral podcast about living called Life Kit.
I often watch NBC  for local news. I've listened to NPR on  radio and to some podcasts.
Personally, my view is that the news is reporting bad stuff like crime and the wars overseas. Its so gloomy.
While I do listen to some news such as our WTOP news on radio and broadcast local news such as Fox and NBC
I've gotten tired of the gloomy news and stopped following it as much. 
I found the news disturbing and giving me bad thoughts. It is sad that news just reports controversy and attacks of politicians but there is a lot of good non partisan stuff going on but they do not report that much.
