Ashley and others,
Have you asked for an eReader from the NLS library that serves your state?
They are free for the asking. It is a Braille book reader. It is good to
use to read BARD or BookShare books in Braille, or any other place that has
downloadable books. It does not do audio, but there are several little
Bibles out there that do, or you can find an app for your phone. One of my
favorite Bible apps is Bible Gateway. Back to the eReader, the only
drawback, if you want to call it that, is that you can't take notes with it;
it is strictly for reading, not writing. But my opinion is, it's free? You
can get lots of Christian material from BookShare, and I think they even
have a few Bibles. So does BARD, and you can download them in Braille for
the eReader. I'm trying to think of things you could do that don't cost
much or don't take up much space. BookShare costs a bit, unless you are a
student. There are several places to download Christian material from free
of charge, though, to read on your free eReader.
The Gospel Association for the Blind offers a wide range of topics such as
Bible studies, biographies, fiction and current issues, science, music and
many other subjects. Services are free and offered in print, cassette or
Braille.

possible. All of our braille material is distributed as a gift to you as the

There is a good resource of downloadable Braille Bibles and other Christian
material which has posted its name here several times, but of course I can't
remember it right now. LOL
Anybody looking for material in Braille might check with the department
which handles disabilities for your denomination. You might be surprised
what they have.
I think even Hadley has some study materials in Braille.
I see that Google Play has a digital Bible app. That should work on the
eReader.
You can download the Bible free from bible.com.
I like a Braille version at my fingertips because it is easier to
participate in Bible studies that way. There are so many ways out there to
listen to or read the Bible or other Christian materials.
I have a KJV of the Bible in Braille that was donated to me for someone who
said she wanted it. Then when she saw what size it is and how much room it
takes up, she changed her mind. It is not in pristine condition, but it's
all there. I already have two Braille Bibles and several electronic
versions. If anyone has room for it, they can let me know off list. There
are so many versions of the Bible that are downloadable electronically now,
though, and they are so much more portable.
