Description:  This seminar will discuss the importance of learning
raille for both children and adults, including information on the value of
sing braille at school, home, and in the workplace. Topics include:
•    Definition of literacy
    3 levels of literacy
    Braille literacy crisis
    Why learn braille?
    Reasons to teach braille to children
    Braille and employment
    Uncontracted or contracted braille?
    The benefits of braille and auditory learning
    Learning braille with residual vision
    Promoting braille
Join Hadley instructors Debbie Siegel and Susan Fisher in this frank and
nformative discussion. This 60 minute seminar will allow ample time for
uestions and answers. Dawn Turco, senior vice president at Hadley, will
oderate.
As always, listening to the seminar remains free of charge. There is a US $25 
ee associated with completing the seminar for credit (1 CE hour). Professionals 
nterested in receiving continuing education credit will be required to 
uccessfully complete a quiz and brief survey before a certificate is issued.
