Seminars at Hadley Presents: College Bound: Are you Ready?
Date: Saturday, March 6
Time: 11:00 AM CST, 17:00 GMT

Join Seminars at Hadley as we discuss taking the leap from high school to college or university life. Presenters Susan Dalton, Transition Specialist from Illinois Bureau of Blind Services, and Linn Sorge, Instructor at Hadley School for the Blind, will address a variety of topics relating to preparing for college, skills necessary for success, support services available and what high school students can do now to get ready for this exciting new adventure.

This hour-long seminar will be moderated by Hadley Senior Vice President Dawn Turco. Time will be provided for questions and answers.




“Must Have” Skills:
Typing and Keyboarding 
Hadley’s new typing and keyboarding course focuses on the basic keys that appear on most typewriters and computer keyboards, and explains how to format lists, announcements, and letters.
 
Word Processing
This course enables you to use WordPad to create letters, memos or reports. You will learn how to save, print or delete files, and modify text or its appearance. (Technology requirements: Computer with Windows 95 or up through Windows XP for its operating system.)

Both courses are open to ACE and High School students.
