 The Florida Rehabilitation Council for the Blind (FRCB) is soliciting
applications for the Parent of Blind category.   If you, or anyone you know
would be interested in serving on the FRCB and meets the criteria for this
category, please complete, or share, the attached questionnaire.



The completed questionnaire needs to be notarized and returned to me and I
will deliver it to the Governor's Appointments Office.

The Council's authority and relationship with DBS is found in Section 105 of
the Rehab Act ( http://www2.ed.gov/policy/speced/reg/narrative.html )



 Below are the main responsibilities:



1.  The Council reviews, analyzes, and advises the designated State unit
regarding the performance of its responsibilities.

2.  The Council evaluates the effectiveness of the vocational rehabilitation
program.

3.  The Council assist DBS in the preparation of the State plan and
amendments to the plan, applications, reports, needs assessments, and
evaluations required.

4.  The Council conducts a review and analysis of the effectiveness of, and
consumer satisfaction by obtaining a Client Satisfaction Survey each year.
