Here is the update on FEMA activities:

. More than 5,600 individuals or households have registered in the
designated counties. FEMA has nearly $160,000 in IHP grants and that number
continues to climb.

. 9 inspectors are in the field today. 203 inspections are completed
and 1,065 are pending.

. 26 Disaster Survivor Assistance workers are canvassing affected
neighborhoods in the designated counties, helping survivors register for
FEMA assistance and providing referrals to other resources to help with any
unmet needs.

DRCs

Two Georgia Disaster Recovery Centers are now open to assist Hurricane Irma
survivors. The centers are open daily and staffed by representatives of the
State of Georgia, FEMA and the SBA. Interpreters are available and may need
to be scheduled if they are assisting with an inspection or a meeting with a
Deaf survivor. VRI is available at both DRCs.

Hours of operation at both centers are:

 <x-apple-data-detectors://1> Mon-Fri: <x-apple-data-detectors://2> 8
a.m. to 7 p.m.

Saturday: <x-apple-data-detectors://3> 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Sunday: <x-apple-data-detectors://4> 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.

Monday. The hours will be the same as the other DRCs.

Cystic Fibrosis to replace medication, percussive vest, and air purifier

Special Considerations

. Residents of islands that fall under the Coastal Barrier Resource
Act are not eligible for assistance from FEMA for flood damage to their
homes. Residents are encouraged to apply for FEMA assistance because they
may be eligible for other FEMA programs such as Other Needs Assistance. If
there are any disaster related, disability related needs, I will reach out
to the disability partners to see what assistance may be available.

Please let me know if you are aware of a person with disabilities that have
unmet needs related to the disaster.

 Respectfully,
