Blind Industries and Services of MD’s Calypso Night & Buffet Dinner
fundraiser 

Mardela Springs Fire House – March 28 - 6-10 pm

 

Salisbury, MD – Blind Industries and Services of Maryland (BISM) will hold a
Calypso Night & Buffet Dinner fundraiser on Saturday, March 28 from 6-10 pm
at the Mardela Springs Fire House. 

Proceeds from the event will benefit the construction of the Salisbury
Training Center for Blind Seniors. Tickets are $25 in advance and $30 at the
door.

The fun-filled night will include steel drum music performed by the band MP
Steel, silent auction, 50/50 raffle, and games. Auction items have been
donated by Kuhn’s Jewelers, World Gym, University Car Wash, Panera Bread,
Uptown Chef, Vernon Powell and many more! 

The menu includes roast beef, fried chicken, macaroni & cheese, vegetables,
desserts, and beverages (including beer).

 The 2,300 square-foot Salisbury Training Center for Blind Seniors will
allow BISM to improve and expand training programs and services for blind
and visually impaired seniors of the Eastern Shore. Plans include an
accessible training kitchen, Braille classroom, adapted computer technology
lab, multi-purpose room, spacious meeting area, and offices. The new
building will be located next to BISM’s current location at 2240 Northwood
Drive in Salisbury. BISM has raised approximately $70,000 of the fundraising
goal of $250,000.
