I just found out about the following and thought I would share this information found on the Web site of the Maryland Department of Assessments and Taxation

Homeowners who have not filed a Homestead Eligibility Application have until December 31, 2012 to submit an application.

If you have not received an application, or previously applied for the Homestead credit, click here to access and print yourself a PDF version of the application.<http://www.dat.state.md.us/sdatweb/Homestead_application.pdf>
Mailed applications must be postmarked by December 31st.
