Blind and Low Vision Seniors 55 & Over

June 10 to 13, 2014

Guidelines for prospective Retreat applicants include:

1.     Legally blind

2.     55 or older

3.     Must self-administer all medications and manage personal needs
independently (BISM has no medical staff or personal-care attendants)

4.     Physical health, stamina, and functional ability to participate fully
in all Retreat activities from morning through evening

5.     Strong desire to achieve independence

6.     NOTE:  Applicants will be interviewed by BISM staff.  There is a
formal process to identify those applicants who have been selected to attend
the Retreat.  Applicants will be notified after final determinations have
been made.
